Timber worksurfaces are constructed from solid timber staves and carefully crafted to ensure maximum strength, stability and durabilty throughout years of constant use.

The kiln dried timber is finely oiled to create a beautiful water repellent surface.

As with many natural materials, a solid wood worksurface grows more beautiful with age. The timber slowly seasons and the patina mellows, adding an evolving character. The real beauty of wood is that it transcends time and trends.

A choice of thicknesses is available from 27mm to 100mm.

Only simple maintenence is required to retain the looks and characteristics of a solid wood worksurface. Common sense and re-oiling will help maintain the beauty and water resistance of the wood year after year. The time span between oiling is dependant on the degree of use.

Bespoke layouts can be designed to suit your kitchen and accomodate features such as undermount sinks (fig 5), flush mounted sinks (fig 1), Belfast sinks, edge profiles, cut-outs, drainer grooves (fig 2) and shaped ends.

Timber co-ordinates well with other materials. As illustrated in fig 4 timber shelves provide a striking contrast against a stainless steel back panel.

Stainless steel 'hotrods' (fig 3) can be designed into the surface to act as a trivet, protecting the surface from hot pans.

Several species of timber are available (see below for choices), each sourced from sustainable resources. Varieties are aimed to accommodate personal tastes and aesthetic requirements.
