Obtaining A Hardwood Worktop Quotation

If you would like a custom-built hardwood worktop quotation there are two ways you can go about obtaining one :-

(1) Using the web site's shopping basket system. The system can be used as an on-line calculator.

First add your chosen timber to the basket from the custom built worktop section of the site. The shopping basket will be displayed showing the added worktop with a quantity of one.

Replace this quantity with the actual surface area of the pieces of worktop you require - you will need to calculate this manually first (to do this you need to multiply the length in metres by the depth in metres of each separate piece - please work to 3 decimal places in your calculations i.e. enter 1525mm as 1.525) For example a standard 620mm deep worktop with a length of 1525mm would be calculated thus - 1.525 x 0.620 = 0.9455 - the number 0.9455 representing the surface area of the worktop in square metres.

Simply repeat this process for each piece of worktop you require.

Manually add the totals together and enter this figure into the quantity box.

Click on the update button and the basket will calculate the exact cost of your worktop. You can obtain quotes for different timber quickly this way allowing you to compare prices between species.

You can then add extras such as worktop cut-outs, edge mouldings, upstand etc. and build your quotation as you go. You can print this off the screen for your own reference.

N.B. The total quantity must be greater than 1.000 (1 square metre) for this system to work.

(2) Email, fax or post a drawing and your list of extras (upstands, hob and sink cut-outs, drainage grooves, hot rods etc.) to me and I will calculate the cost for you. Please include the following information :-

Species of timber required

Length of worktop(s) (maximum single length available 3990mm)

Width of worktops(s) (any size up to 1155mm)

Thickness of worktops(s) *

Choice and positioning of edge moulding *

A rough diagram showing the layout, showing any necessary jointing i.e. 90° corners

Details of any cut-outs required *

Details of any other extras - drainage grooves, hot rods etc.
Upstand type if required.

The price per square metre shown are pro-rata for any depth up to 620mm and include all fixings and an aftercare kit - widths greater than this will have a supplemental charge added. They are delivered ready-oiled and come complete with full fitting and maintenance instructions. Machining and cutouts are at extra cost as detailed. Non standard widths/shapes can also be accommodated - price on application.

Turnaround time is 10 working days from confirmation of order.
